Nadja Schlössel

Nadja flew in from Germany where she worked for one of the most well known German FinTechs - figo - in Hamburg. Within figo’s leadership team she was one of the central personalities to secure a € 7M funding and grow figo from 20 to around 65 employees. First responsible for figo’s Global Strategy and Brand and later as Head of Product Strategy she helped transform a tiny start-up into a player trusted by banks as much as other FinTechs. Before figo, she was consulting banks and insurers in innovation management, digital trends and new business models/strategies. She is a Senior Adviser at FinTech Forum DACH and author of many FinTech related articles, blogs, podcasts, and a known speaker at European industry events.

The first thing she did after immigrating to New Zealand was converting a bare ford transit van into a fully insulated (yes, it is too cold in NZ’s winter) camper - enjoying the kiwi way of life with her kiwi partner including a lot of tramping and outdoor activities.
